Visa-exempt entry: 30 days from 15 September 2026
Thailand cut visa-free stays from 60 to 30 days for most nationalities. What changed and what it means.
What changed
For entries from 15 September 2026, most nationalities that previously got 60 days visa-free now get 30 days. You can extend once by 30 days at an immigration office (about 1,900 THB).
Officers may question repeated visa-exempt entries, and entry is never guaranteed. If you want to stay longer, look at the DTV or a tourist visa.
