TM30 address notification
What TM30 is, who files it, and when you need to make sure it's done.
What it is
TM30 is the notification that tells immigration where a foreigner is staying. Legally it's the duty of the house owner, landlord or hotel, and it's due within 24 hours of a foreigner arriving at the property.
Hotels do it automatically. With private rentals, it's often forgotten. And you'll be the one asked for the receipt when you file your 90-day report or apply for an extension.
When to check it's been done
- When you move into a new place
- After you return from a trip abroad
- Some offices also expect a new TM30 after domestic trips with overnight stays elsewhere
Never miss your own deadlines
